South Camden Theatre Company Introduces Their Camden Resident Ticketing Program For Their 13th Season — Celebrating Female Playwrights
Camden, New Jersey: South Camden Theatre Company’s Board of Directors is pleased to announce the Camden Resident Ticketing Program. This program provides Camden residents the opportunity to attend SCTC performances at the Waterfront South Theatre at the discounted rate of $5.00 per ticket. This program gives Camden residents a chance to attend live theatre at an affordable ticket price.
Theatre company partnerships are making this ticketing option possible for all of 2018.
Two South Jersey corporations have partnered with SCTC to support a marketing effort to Camden residents and to subsidize the reduced ticketing cost. The Holman Automotive organization provided funding to be used for marketing. This allows the theatre company to send post cards, promote to residents on Facebook and to spend time collaborating with Camden groups to help get the word out to residents. Subaru of America has partnered with us to subsidize the difference of the ticket cost from the general admission price of $20.
Steve Holman said, “…about 20% of our giving is intended to impact lives in Camden. This opportunity to support a program that directly impacts residents makes perfect sense.” Sandra Capell from Subaru said, “This is a great program and we are happy to subsidize the Camden resident ticketing.”
South Camden Theatre Company is in it’s 13th season producing plays in Camden. In 2010 we moved into the beautiful Waterfront South Theatre that was built by The Heart of Camden and The Domenica Foundation. “Getting the word out that great theatre is happening in Camden has been an ongoing effort of the Board of Trustees,” states Robert Bingaman, Board President.
Artistic Director Raymond Croce’s 2018 season Celebrates Female Playwrights and women. “When I was planning our 13th season I realized we had never produced a season focused on women. I had already planned this season before the “ME TOO” movement happened and am really glad to see how that movement has taken hold and will bring about change.” “I hope that our season supports the movement and gives women an opportunity to laugh, to hope, to explore and to dream.”
