FEBRUARY HEATED UP WITH A PLAY THAT CONNECTED SO WELL WITH AMERICAN LIFE TODAY.
"This is a time-honored piece of agit-prop. Come to see it for that reason! Come to see it for the wonderful ensemble work! Come to see it for the eye-opening commentary! Just come and see it!!"
Ruth K. Brown, STAGE Magazine
"Waiting for Lefty", by American dramatist Clifford Odets took the stage for the third production of Season Six. Odets explored how politics, values, and family affect our lives. What does it take for a person to be moved enough to take a stand? In this searing collection of scenes set in New York during the Great Depression, Odets lays out the price paid by average people when a society falls apart.
As the past came to life once again on our stage, we continued our celebration of our season themed, "The Past in the Present is Our Future."
