"AND JUSTICE FOR ALL" — A NEW PLAY FESTIVAL
This one-act play festival, was a gripping theatre experience that shed new light on the American justice system and the social and political injustice we face. The five one-act plays were selected from sixty-four plays that were submitted from an International call for scripts. SCTC has already tackled the Iraq War and non-traditional prejudice in past festivals and with this new play festival shined its light on this complex and engaging subject.
The 5 shows we produced were:
"Stop Requested" which was written by Gail Phaneuf — Boston, MA and directed by Christopher Schimpf.
"Objection" which was written by Victoria T. Joseph — Agawam, MA and directed by Tom Juarez.
"Blood Sisters" written by Robin Rice Lichtig — New York, NY and directed by Connie Norwood"
"Civil Disobedience" which was written Michael Burgan — Chicago, IL and directed by Ray Croce
"Hung Jury" which was written by Joseph M. Paprzycki — Gloucester City, NJ and directed by Brad Reiter.
This show was produced at our Sacred Heart Church basement theatre on April 24 — May 10, 2009.
